Miguel Angel Bogarin, 31 of Atlanta, was arrested in Rome after a report said he assaulted a 33 year-old woman with a deadly weapon at her home on Avenue B.
Police said that Bogarin beat the victim in the face with a shoe after removing it from her foot and holding her down on a bed.
Bogarin then allegedly grabbed a female child’s arm, which caused visible injuries. Reports went on to say that Bogarin then shoved the woman into a door, causing a visible injury to her forehead.
The victim also told police that Bogarin stole two cellphones, both valued at $2,000, before fleeing the scene.
Bogarin is charged with aggravated assault, battery, two counts felony theft by taking, cruelty to children and driving on a suspended license.
