Reflecting reflect on the past year, and how much both the PWCS community and the community at large has overcome, it’s important to pause and take time to reflect on how resilient we are. Mental health is critical in one’s ability to support families, work effectively, participate in school, and contribute to society in meaningful ways.
In partnership with the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), PWCS recognizes May as Mental Health Awareness Month. This year’s message is “Together for Mental Health,” and the focus is to bring voices together to advocate for mental health and access to care. Visit the PWCS Mental Health Awareness Month webpage for resources, articles, and other helpful information, and look for features throughout the month on PWCS initiatives and efforts to support the mental health and well-being of students and staff.
School staff and community are encouraged to wear GREEN on May 5, in recognition of National Children’s Mental Health Awareness Day.
