Anna, Elsa, Olaf and the rest of the Frozen gang have a new permanent home at Disney Adventure World, the recently reimagined second park at Disneyland Paris.

On Sunday, March 29, the 34-year-old French theme park unveiled its $2.2 billion investment in its second gate for the first time to the public. At the center of the grand transformation is World of Frozen, a larger-than-life recreation of the kingdom of Arendelle.

“The transition from Walt Disney Studios Park to Disney Adventure World reflects a major evolution in guests expectations,” Nataha Raffalski, president of Disneyland Paris, tells Forbes. “Originally focused on behind-the-scenes storytelling, the park has been reimagined to offer fully immersive experiences, as today’s visitors want to step into their favorite stories rather than observe how they are made.”

At the center of the new experience lies Adventure Way, a vibrant promenade with lush gardens, new dining spots, lively entertainment and a brand-new attraction themed to Disney’s Tangled: Raiponce Tangled Spin.

The path leads to Adventure Bay, a central lake that anchors the park and hosts an all-new nighttime spectacular, “Disney Cascade of Lights.” The show features hundreds of drones, choreographed fountains, projections, water screens and pyrotechnics.

But the park’s biggest draw sits behind the reservoir. The World of Frozen towers above guests with its 118-foot mountain of ice, a dramatic contrast to the French countryside that surrounds it.

At the center of the new land is Paris’s version of Frozen Ever After, a boat ride featuring over 30 state-of-the-art new-generation Audio-Animatronic figures. Inside Arendelle Castle, guests can meet face-to-face with Anna and Elsa as well as a baby troll named Mossy. There will also be daily shows held on Viking longships in Arendelle Bay.

“You forget you’re outside Paris. For a few minutes, it really feels like Arendelle,” Léa Moreau, a 27-year-old graphic designer from Lille, France, told the Associated Press of her visit.

“Despite the wait, it was well worth it. The attention to detail is incredible, and the perspective of the ice mountain is breathtaking,” said Daniel Weber, 41, an architect from Munich, Germany, of the boat ride.

More than 90 percent of the park has been redesigned since it opened in 2002, and the footprint will more than double once the transformation is fully complete.

Eventually, the park will open Disney’s first themed area dedicated to The Lion King. Construction on the land began in fall 2025 and will feature a major attraction combining water-based thrills and high-tech Audio-Animatronics.
