Dr Who lovers can now buy ‘Darlic Bread’ – a towering garlic bread replica of the iconic TV villain.
Supermarket giant Iceland has launched the unique grub as an April 1 treat for fans of the hit sci-fi show and it’s feared baddies the Darleks. Bosses hope the parsley and butter coated dinner companion “exterminates” hunger.
An Iceland spokeswoman said: “Once it arrives on your table resistance is futile. This is one centrepiece that you’ll be ready to ‘extermi-nibble’.” Priced at £10 and serving 12, the Dalek-shaped bread can be oven-cooked in 20 minutes.
The spokeswoman added: “Don’t be surprised if it disappears at lightspeed, because when something tastes this good, there’s no escaping it.
“It may look like it’s landed from another world, but one bite in and you’ll realise it’s been engineered for maximum flavour.”
The Darlic Bread will be available for purchase online and in-store at Iceland Foods and the Food Warehouse.
