The Turkmen side presented information on the port’s modern
infrastructure, cargo flow directions, and European-made equipment
in operation, as well as ongoing projects at the Balkan
shipbuilding and repair yard.

The sides also reviewed international tender processes for new
vessel construction and Turkmenistan’s steps toward accession to

Particular attention was paid to maintaining navigable channel

construction of specialized dredging vessels.

The EU representative underlined the strategic importance of the
Turkmenbashi port at the crossroads of international transport
routes and stressed the need for coordinated operations to further
increase cargo flows.
