What are these pipes used for? (Berlin)

  1. Well at first they are used to pump groundwater from construction sites, then they are left there by the building companys to constantly claim “runing costs” from the city of Berlin and finaly they become art and pictures of them are made by hipsters to be posted on IG or reddit

  2. The name “Berlin” is Slavic and means “Swamp”, that tells you a lot about the challenges you face when you want to build in Berlin, and as many here pointed out right, they are used to pump water out of construction sites.

  3. I have seen these in my city, where they were used as temporary wastewater canals while construction was done.

So I guess it could be anything?
