United Nations investigations have confirmed four allegations of sexual exploitation and abuse against a U.N.-backed security force in Haiti, primarily composed of Kenyan troops.

The findings, detailed in a February 16 report, were covered by Haiti’s AyiboPost. These accusations echo past misconduct issues during the MINUSTAH mission in Haiti from 2004 to 2017.

The responsibility for further action now lies with the countries involved since the operation, recently renamed the Gang Suppression Force, is not a formal U.N. mission. Nations such as Jamaica, Belize, and the Bahamas have also contributed troops.
