King Charles has reportedly extended an olive branch to Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie amid the fallout of their father’s association with Jeffrey Epstein.

The King has invited the princesses, daughters of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson, to join the Royal Ascot this year, according to HELLO!.

The invitation comes after the sisters were reportedly “banned” from attending the racing festival in June.

It is understood the York sisters would not attend the upcoming Easter church service with King Charles and the rest of the royal family for the same reason.

While now invited to the Berkshire racing festival, which will be held this year from 16-20 June, it has not been confirmed whether Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie will join the Royal Ascot carriage procession.

The sisters have long been a regular fixture at the Royal Ascot, alongside senior members of the royal family.

If the pair do attend, the princesses are expected to be joined by their husbands, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi and Jack Brooksbank, as they have done in previous years.

It comes more than a month after their father Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office on February 19 amid accusations he shared confidential documents with convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein during his time as a UK trade envoy.

Andrew, 66, was released under investigation and denies any wrongdoing.

Their mother has faced scrutiny after her name appeared in the Epstein files recently released by the US Department of Justice.

According to the documents, their mother Sarah Ferguson took Beatrice and Eugenie to visit Epstein in the US, five days after he was released from prison for child sex crimes.

They were 19 and 20 at the time.

Epstein was under house arrest after serving 12 months in a Florida jail for soliciting a minor for prostitution.

Ferguson’s own email exchanges with Epstein, calling Epstein her “supreme friend” were also published in the release.

Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie are not believed to have seen their father since his arrest on February 19, his 66th birthday.

They are said to have been left distraught by claims made against their parents.

The inclusion of their names in the cache of documents have prompted suggestions they would be excluded from gatherings with the royal family.

However, the King has previously signalled his support for his nieces.

According to UK media, they are expected to be included at other celebrations in the future, including now the Royal Ascot in June.
