Now experts say they have the power to influence voters’ thinking and election outcomes, so it’s time to draw the line and stop manipulated human images. But federal lawmakers are failing to pass legislation to police fake humans. Disclosure laws could help give the voting public a reality check – but they differ depending on where you live.
