Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) on Friday said the supply of petroleum products and LPG was stable and adequate to meet the current demand in Punjab.

The stock position at LPG bottling plants is comfortable, with inventory levels adequate in line with norms in the past and replenishments also planned, said Indian Oil Corporation Limited executive director and state level coordinator of Punjab Ashutosh Gupta. (Hindustan Times)
In a press statement, Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) executive director and state level coordinator of Punjab Ashutosh Gupta said the stock position of motor spirit (MS) and high-speed diesel (HSD) was normal across the state. “OMC depots are maintaining healthy inventory levels, while retail outlets have sufficient stock for uninterrupted sales. There is no cause for concern regarding the availability of automotive fuels,” he said.
With respect to LPG, the stock position at bottling plants was also comfortable, with inventory levels adequate in line with norms in the past and replenishments also planned, Gupta said.
The statement further said OMCs were closely monitoring the situation and had taken necessary steps to streamline supply logistics and expedite deliveries. Consumers have been advised to refrain from panic purchasing, as adequate stocks are available and replenishment is ongoing.
LPG consumers are also requested to book LPG cylinders through digital modes only and acknowledge the receipt of the cylinder through delivery authentication code (DAC). This will help ensure a smooth, transparent and hassle-free delivery process, enabling timely service to genuine customers.
