Prepare to Step Inside the Sefton Asylum

Clever Trickster Productions has officially unveiled its latest project, Sefton Asylum, on Steam, offering a first look at a chilling new direction for the studio behind Blood Bar Tycoon and Magic Forge Tycoon. Moving away from management sims, the team is stepping into first-person horror with a tense experience set inside an isolated psychiatric hospital. The game is set to launch on PC in Summer 2026, priced at $11.99 USD.

In Sefton Asylum, players step into the role of a night nurse working alone until morning. While her official duty is to care for patients, her true purpose is far more personal. She has taken the shift to investigate her brother’s mysterious disappearance, only to uncover that the asylum holds far darker secrets than expected.

The gameplay centers on constant pressure and difficult choices. Players must decide whether to spend their limited time treating patients or exploring restricted areas to gather clues. Ignoring patients comes with consequences, as those who die may not stay dead, turning each shift into a more dangerous ordeal. With no weapons to rely on, survival becomes part of the job itself.

The game draws inspiration from H. P. Lovecraft’s “Herbert West–Reanimator,” focusing on reanimation and forbidden medical practices. Its tone aligns more closely with Resident Evil, emphasizing grounded, biological horror.

Overall, Sefton Asylum promises to deliver a tense mix of simulation, investigation, and psychological horror, making it a promising title to watch when it arrives next year.
