Donald Trump has been criticized for reaching a new “stage of Dementia” after making a harsh remark about Vice President JD Vance.

The 79-year-old president mocked Vance’s weight during an Easter lunch address at the White House on Wednesday. As he struggled to locate the vice president among attendees, Trump told the audience he’d been searching for a “heavy-set gentleman.

“Is JD here? Where’s JD? Oh JD,” he said as he scanned for Vance. “He’s lost weight. He got a little thinner. I’m looking for a heavy set gentleman, and now I find a perfect looking specimen,” Trump remarked as the crowd laughed.

The brutal jab triggered renewed worries about the president’s mental fitness among observers. “Trump is currently at ‘calling ppl fat in public’ level dementia, comedian Jay Jurden wrote as they shared a clip of the incident.” comedian Jay Jurden posted while sharing footage of the moment.

“Dementia patients say whatever the F they want to say,” another person observed. “Trump is entering the mortification stage of this condition, where his ego will implode, making him dangerous,” a third asserted, reports the Irish Star.

“Trump is probably at the belligerent, uncontrollable stage of dementia. Unfortunately, the Secret Service will keep track of him if he wanders,” a fourth remarked. “FFS. Remove the dementia patient already,” someone else added. The Alzheimer’s Society points out that “sometimes a person with dementia can lose their inhibitions and may behave in ways that others find embarrassing.” They noted this can involve “being rude” and “saying things that aren’t appropriate (for example, that someone is overweight).”

Earlier in January, Trump celebrated achieving a perfect result on his third cognitive test amid growing concerns about his fitness. The president, who has repeatedly highlighted “acing” these tests, took to Truth Social to announce he’d gotten every answer right “for the third straight time” while addressing his latest mental health evaluation.

“The White House Doctors have just reported that I am in ‘PERFECT HEALTH,’ and that I ‘ACED’ (Meaning, was correct on 100% of the questions asked! ), for the third straight time, my Cognitive Examination, something which no other President, or previous Vice President, was willing to take,” Trump posted.

Trump is believed to have taken the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA), a test designed to detect cognitive impairment. The president has previously described the assessments as “very hard,” although experts emphasize that the test is deliberately simple for people in sound health and challenging for those suffering from cognitive problems.
