Easter in Latvia will be slightly warmer, with more sunshine, though precipitation is also possible, according to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
Following another cool night, the weather in Latvia on Easter will be cloudy, though the sun will peek through at times. In the morning, rain and sleet are still expected in some parts of the northeastern regions, after which the precipitation will subside.
In the evening, a new precipitation zone will begin to move across Latvia from the west, bringing rain to most of the country.
Winds from the southwest and west will be moderate to moderately strong. In the morning and afternoon, winds will strengthen in coastal areas, with gusts reaching 15–18 metres per second.
Temperatures will rise to +7 to +12 C during the day.
In the capital, the first half of the day will be mostly sunny, but in the evening the skies will cloud over and rain is expected.
A moderate southwesterly and westerly wind will blow; in the morning, it will remain gusty, reaching speeds of up to 15 meters per second.
The maximum air temperature in Rīga will be around +10 degrees.
