An American citizen, Nathan Daniel Limesand, wanted by the Czech authorities for terrorism and arson, has agreed to be extradited at a court hearing, the Haskovo District Court said on Wednesday.

Limesand, 26, is being sought under a European Arrest Warrant issued by the District Court in the Czech city of Pardubice. He faces charges of terrorism and arson, which carry up to 20 years in prison under Czech law.

Although Limesand agreed in court to surrender to the Czech authorities, the judicial panel informed him of his procedural right to withdraw his consent within three days. The case has been adjourned until April 15.

On April 6, the Haskovo District Court remanded him in custody to ensure that he is present during the extradition proceedings.

According to the court in Pardubice, the man is accused of participating in an organized crime group which set fire to a factory manufacturing sensitive military equipment, the presiding judge said at the hearing on his detention. The fire caused damage to the buildings estimated at CZK 150 million and destroyed goods worth an additional CZK 100 million.

Limesand was arrested at the Kapitan Andreevo checkpoint on the border with Turkiye on April 3.
