Provisional data published by the Central Statistical Bureau (CSB) on April 9th show that in February 2026 Latvia had foreign trade turnover of EUR 3.44 billion (at current prices 1.5 % more than a year ago), of which the value of exported goods reduced by 5.0 %, while the value of imported goods went up by 7.5 %.

In February Latvia exported goods worth EUR 1.55 billion, but imported goods worth EUR 1.88 billion.

As exports in the total foreign trade decreased from 48.2 % in February 2025 to 45.1 % in February 2026, foreign trade balance worsened.

Compared to January this year, exports’ value went down by 1.5 % ,but imports’ value went up by 7.9 %. 

Calendar and seasonally adjusted data show that over the year (in February 2026 compared to February 2025) value of exported goods reduced by 5.4 % and that of imported goods rose by 7.4 %, whereas, compared to the previous month, the value of exported goods went down by 0.03 % ,but the value of imported goods – went up by 4.8 %.
