Switzerland-based Hamilton Medical, a manufacturer of critical care ventilation solutions, has acquired Stimit, a Swiss developer of non-invasive technologies for stimulating the diaphragm muscles of mechanically ventilated intensive care patients using magnetic fields.

Hamilton plans to integrate Stimit, which was previously majority owned by Dräger, into the group gradually, with the aim of strategically combining the respective competencies and fostering joint growth.

“We look forward to a shared future, developing new ideas together, advancing innovation in the field of mechanical ventilation, and shaping sustainable success,” said Bob Hamilton, CEO of Hamilton Medical.

Ronja Müller-Bruhn (CEO), Harald Genger (COO) and Oliver Müller (head of sales) of Stimit said that Hamilton Medical is the world’s best partner to unlock the full global potential of the firm’s technology in the respiratory care market.

Stimit and Dräger were advised by Asklepios Advisors
