The PSNI have said a ‘policing response has been prepared’ ahead of planned protests across Northern Ireland over the price of fuel next week.
Posters, which appear to be AI generated, have continued to circulate online in recent days calling for HGV drivers and farmers to take part in protests on the afternoon of Tuesday, April 14 at locations across the north.

These include Belfast’s Westlink, Sprucefield in Antrim, Sandyknowes Roundabout in Mallusk, Larne Harbour, Ballygawley Roundabout, New Toome Bridge in Toomebridge and the A5 in Omagh.

Just two tractors assembled for a planned protest over the price of fuel in Enniskillen on Friday afternoon.
PSNI officers were in attendance.

In a statement the PSNI said: “Police are maintaining an ongoing assessment in relation to social media posts calling for planned protests across Northern Ireland.
“A policing response has been prepared, if needed, to ensure public safety and to help minimise any potential disruption to the wider community.”
