Read that as “French protests” and wondered what’s new.
The way institutions and media handled the COVID issue definitely fueled this.
Measures are basically trade-offs. People don’t take it seriously because you don’t get to see the people dying or getting sick next to you, so you end up in this situations.
I would be against this normally, but sadly I think people need to see the horror with their own eyes. Hearing people die, nurses crying and doctors desperately trying to improvise on the fly, with so much stress in their eyes.
