Twitter Inc.’s former chief marketing officer dismissed her lawsuit against Elon Musk and X Corp. claiming her termination was wrongly deemed as being for cause in order to deny her a hefty severance payout.
The dismissal notice, filed April 10 in the US District Court for the Northern District of California, resolves a lawsuit by Leslie Berland, who served as Twitter’s CMO for nearly seven years and said she was wrongly denied about $20 million in severance after Musk’s takeover of the company. The three-page notice doesn’t include details about how the dispute was resolved.
