SDP lost because schroeder and scholz, greens gained because of all government parties they advocated strongest for help ukraine. Am I wrong?

That the 2019 result is on the right of the current poll is confusing.
From a foreign policy pov this warms my heart as a Croat, the green/SDP coalition is attempting ( and succeeding ) at ruining Croat / German relations in a record pace a return to the boring cdu/csu days would be great.

Don’t think so. This would already depend on the region that answered. 1000 Bavarians would vote different than 1000 people from Hamburg.

That was to be expected. With his lack of response to the Ukraine crisis, Scholz has demonstrated he’s a lying coward. He has manufactured delays to avoid providing meaningul aid. I would not be surprised if he turned out to be pro-Russian, but it’s entirely possible his behaviour can also be explained as purely cowardice and incompetence.
So this will be important… in 3 years!

To be honest, I don’t feel as strongly about German politics as I do about some other countries (especially the US). I don’t think there is one best party but instead every party is kind of similar with slightly different stances (minus the far left and right of course). I personally support Volt Germany but I don’t think a Merkel government or Scholz government really changes that much

Wtf is AFD doing? They can easy start a smear campaign against Russia and connect with other right wing and centrist voters who want a strong nationalist German leadership that can fight Russia. They can easily get 20-25% voters if they start hating on Russia. Plus with a new immigrant wave predicted due to food shortage their popularity would rise even more.
It’s interesting to see does this cause any policy shifts for Scholz, or is he so badly compromised that he has no other alternative than keep kissing Putins ass and invent every possible excuse not to ship heavy weapons to Ukraine.
Telling Spain that they aren’t allowed to send Leopards to Ukraine was a new low.
German Greens are far from perfect but definitely my favorite party in Germany. Someone in my area kept vandalizing every Baerbock sign they could find, which kind of made me like her more.
