BALLSTON, N.Y. (WNYT) – A Malta man is in custody after police say he ran from police and broke into a building last year.

The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office says on November 20, 2025, Dennis M. Wohlleber ran from an officer who was attempting to pull him over.

Police say Wohlleber abandoned his vehicle and fled into the woods. Wohlleber then allegedly broke into a dwelling on Randall Road and remained there.

Wohlleber is charged with burglary, obstructing governmental administration, unlawful fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle, and numerous vehicle and traffic law violations.

He was arraigned and sent back to the Schenectady County Jail where he is being held on separate charges.
