Well, Turkey under his rule is on track to its demise like the Ottoman empire and the Greeks have a front row seat, so it’s all a matter of interpretation!

The man is a menace, but it’s pretty clear that he’s just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to ottomanism in Turkey and their nostalgia for the good old days of imperialism. It’s pretty obvious that what happened 100 years ago was that too much leniency was given to the turks, and that they were left with too much. The empire should have been fragmented into something unrecognizable, so that all hopes of restoring it would die with it.
