I’m moving to Germany and want to ask this thread’s community to share their knowledge about various online services that help people save on their purchases, whether common groceries or tech and home purchases. I myself love saving and always try to gain knowledge about most efficient ways to do it wherever I stay.I had a great experience when living in England. I used the “too-good-to-go” app, I know it’s used in Germany. Also they have some app, can’t remember the title now, that has a constantly refreshing collection of promotional offers with coupons for different grocery products and shares the money with you, in a form of cash back, that they get from you using the offer and buying the specific product. They also have this great site [Hotukdeals](https://www.hotukdeals.com/) that aggregates offers for UK market from all around the internet, which I used a lot.
Do you have anything similar in Germany?

  1. Hotukdeals and mydealz.de are pretty much the same site with the same mother company behind it.

  2. The biggest company in Germany is probably Payback. They have coupons where you get a higher rate of points on your purchases. You collect those points which you either get paid as money transfer into your bank account, or use them for more purchases or buy some overpriced kitchenware or gadget.

Then there is smhaggle which I have not tested and do not plan to.

The discounters all have their own customer-surveillance, err, money-saving apps which offer you discounts only available via app, digital receipts and whatnot.

If you want to know what’s on sale in different stores, you can also just take a look at https://www.aktionspreis.de/.
