The infection rate isn’t really the important one, the hospitalisation and death rates are. Infection rates are high for things like common cold, flu etc but it’s a fairly non-event because it doesn’t clog up hospitals and cause damage for treatment of other conditions.
The question is when will they stop counting the waves. It’s never going away.
