Looks like they’re planning for people to work from home again after months of trying to get everyone back into the workplace,
I guess they really are planning on fuel rationing.
Does anyone work in one of these? I assume it’s single chair/desk only and companies can’t take a whole room or area?
Seems like something that could help the Dublin Housing crisis.
That’s neat. I wouldn’t mind working from these once in a while. I don’t have a great home setup and it’s a little tricky making space for it, and it’s hard to me to justify travelling to the city everytime.
Good initiative but the reason the hub network (that has had millions pumped into it over the last 2 years) is severely under-utilised is of course….housing availability. Such a shame for rural towns and villages to have received these investments but going to waste unfortunately.
Only 1800 registered users on connectedhubs is abysmal.
Seems to only offer 3 free days? Not great but better than nothing I suppose
I bought my dirt cheap house in the midlands despite not wanting to leave the city because it had gigabit fibre and was a reasonable bike ride from the train. If they want people to leave the cities (which appears to be a goal for some in government) this sort of thing could really help.
No thanks, I think I’ll remain in the comfort of my own home.
It’s probably good for some but the idea of having lots of people, who I am not being paid to sit beside, around me while I am trying to work, isn’t too appetising especially when I pay for it. All you need is the local looper in there having loud phonecalls and annoying you about their big idea. Or people listening to your calls, watching your work and gossiping around the place!
I prefer working in private or else with my colleagues (for free).
“As long as they don’t earn over 25,000 euro” /s
I registered on https://connectedhubs.ie/ but have absolutely no idea how to avail of the free days. There are no instructions on the website. They need to make the sign-up easier than this
