LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) – A Texas Department of Public Safety K-9 named Bona and her handler tracked down multiple undocumented migrants across more than 15 miles of South Texas brush last week.
The migrants were hiding in brush and cacti on private ranches between Tuesday, April 7 and Sunday, April 12.
In Webb County, Bona completed a 5-mile track, leading her handler directly to a migrant hiding in thick brush.
U.S. Border Patrol assisted DPS troopers on the ground, while U.S. Customs and Border Protection provided support from the sky.
