What living in social housing in Vienna is. (Everyone can get a flat in this System. You don‘t have to be low income)

2. not that easy. for social housing u need to at least lived 5 years in vienna. then u can register for it.
   but yea in comparison very cheap, at least 40m2, cleanest water into your apartment, always a park around the corner.

3. I guess it’s one of the nicest places in one of the nice ones.

   They exist in many western countries. Not every one is lucky enough to get the best ones. Even if it looks good, you better pray that it’s new because otherwise, you can be sure that the previous owners destroyed something without telling what. Might be the plumbing or the heating, or some pest.

4. We used to have developments like that, but then most were given away and then the people living in them sold them, moved out of the big cities and now you can rent the same apartment for 20x as much.

5. Compare with Berlin’s privatisation of social housing in the 90s and 00s about how you could really mess this up.
