Does anybody have experience with olive trees in Finland? How do they survive during winter? I find it hard to believe they can be planted outside. Are people willing to pay 1100€ for a Mediterranean tree? So many questions…

I believe that is old picture/old ad, since the price does not say € but points to markka, old Finnish currency
You can get olive trees for 20-40 euros if you want, and no I don’t think they survive outside the winter.
[According to this](https://wikifarmer.com/olive-tree-climate-temperature-requirements) almost impossible.
According to the information on that paper, it is supposed to be indoor plant, not for planting outdoors.
Lot of if not most people with Mediterranean plants (that last longer than a year) keep them inside for the winter and outside for the summer. I moved my lemon outside a month ago.
You know you can use Google translate on pictures too 🙂
Maybe in a heated Greenhouse!
