For the first time in 31 years a Youngstown State athletic team is visiting the White House for winning a national championship.
YSU Football visits White House in 1995
The 2025 Penguins women’s bowling team has the honor later today.
But, they are not the first Penguin team to make an appearance at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
The 1994 National Champion Penguin football team visited the White House on March 6, 1995. President Bill Clinton received a No.1 Penguin jersey and autographed football.
The late Senator John Glenn and late Congressman James Traficant were part of the Ohio contigent.
