Gives them a pretty big window until any new generation Western tank rolls around.
With everyone looking to increase their military spending they might have hit a bit of a jackpot here, if this can deliver.
Managing to have ze military-industrial complex without the military for so long is some kind of uber amazing german achievement.
I get the impression that’s because German companies are run by engineers who continually invest in getting better at the thing they do. Even when they don’t have customers.
Whereas other companies are run by fools from sales or boston-consulting consultants who try to maximize some sales metric.
I wonder will Ukraine be able to buy theses in the future
It’s like a twisted “look, but don’t touch” aimed at Ukrainians, isn’t it?
What purpose should these tanks serve?
Send them to Ukraine and watch sales skyrocket
Does Rheinmetall make drones? They should get into that.
Looks like the polish meme tank built in cv90 with panels.
Edit: Also Panther has a classy ring to it. Why they didn’t go with Königstiger?

Outcry to use Panther already started.
Wait for the Leo3 “Tiger”….
Rheinmetall presumably positioning themselves against MGCS here, KMW and Nexter are lucky they can get the cannon though.
It will be interesting to see which system gets which markets and if the BW might even buy both systems if the Panther is as good as advertised.
How much should we wait before someone leaks specs on WoT forum.
