FAI fuckery and lazy attitude is embedded from generations of shitehawks at the top. Keane exposed all that but nothing came of it. So him walking away only hurt his legacy.
We could have gotten to semi or even the final. We had a dwcent team. We played the dutch off the park in qualifying at lansdowne road. Without Keane we wouldnt have gotten to the world cup.
Had he stayed we would have beaten spain easily and then faced south korea and despite the favours from the ref i reckon we could have beaten them.
Had he played against germany we might have won, topping the group and then had a piss easy run to the final in paraguay and the united states.
Keane was right and we are still dealing with the same FAI ineptitude because none of the rest of the players stood with him.
