CANTON, New York (WWNY) – A convicted sex offender is accused of failing to register an internet account.
St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office arrested Kenneth Denny, 43, of Lisbon at the county jail, where he’s being held without bail on an unrelated drug charge.
He’s charged with a felony count of failure to register an internet account.
As a convicted sex offender, Denny is required by law to notify the state Division of Criminal Justice Services of any of his internet accounts.
According to the New York State Sex Offender Registry, Denny was convicted of attempted rape in 2008.
He was issued a ticket to appear in Lisbon Town Court at a later date.
According to records, Denny has been in jail on a drug possession charge since April 14.
