I’m planing to study a cybersecurity in [taltech unversity](https://taltech.ee/en/cyber-bsc). I will join after working as Backend developer or at least have experience with programming and server side.

The University said that the test is all about:

>The test takes place in the system called Moodle and contains five exercises based on logic, algorithmic thinking and generally recognized basic mathematics at a typical international high school level. Calculation tasks in the test are somewhat similar to those that come with solving real complex security incidents. Therefore, they do not include so much of the complexity of mathematics as the logic and systemic thinking skills combined with mathematical calculations.
Candidate will have 4 hours to complete the test.

So my question is in order to prepare for the test for the *(logic and algorithmic thinking)* should i study ***Discrete Math ( Sets and logic & Algorithms)***

and basic mathematics at a typical international high school level ***( probability calculations and logarithm)*** and what else?

and for Calculation tasks in the test are somewhat similar to those that come with solving real complex security incidents. Should ***(CCNA and CCNA Security*** *be enough****)***

If anyone took the test or study at Taltech can help me with telling me what should i prepare to pass the test

Thanks in advance.

  1. Not really sure about the cyber sec entrance test but i did one for software dev and it didnt include any industry specific quizes. Im sure that cyber sec will require some of it but i cant say more

  2. Nope, most of the problems are IT-related and text-based. Meaning that you do not need a deep understanding (for example, some dude working in an IT company makes x amount of money….)

Questions about actual knowledge are left for the interview.
