Sorbino Cinzano Leads After Malta Endurance Races

The hull ‘Sorbino Cinzano’ of Diego Testa and Claudio Gullo, representing Canottieri Napoli, achieved a victory and a second place in the two races of the Endurance World Championship held in the sea off Sliema Promenade (Malta), which featured 19 teams from Great Britain, Ireland, Belgium, Malta, and Italy. In the overall standings of the world championship, the Testa-Gullo crew now leads with 700 points, followed by the Maltese Dexter Blanco and Joseph Portelli on ‘Vanta Racing’; third place goes to the reigning British-Irish world champion crew (Robert McCarthy and Marc Power) on ‘If Only’, with 469 points.

The Endurance World Championship will continue in Belgium, at Blankenberge, from Friday 26th to Sunday 28th June. The third and decisive stage will take place in Italy, in Cervia (Ravenna), on 4th and 6th September.
