Sarah Ferguson revealed what Queen Elizabeth II said to her in their last conversation.

Before Her Majesty died in 2022 and the former Duchess of York was stripped of her titles due to her friendship with Jeffrey Epstein, the two shared a close bond.

“The Queen never lost me,” Ferguson told The Sunday Timesin 2024.

“The best advice she gave me was the last thing she said to me: ‘Sarah, remember that yourself is good enough.’ It makes me cry,” Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor‘s ex-wife recalled.

During an appearance on the “Tea with Twiggy” podcast in 2021, Ferguson gushed about her close relationship with Elizabeth, despite her marriage to the former Duke of York ending in 1996.

“My greatest mentor and person who believes in me is the Queen, and [that] has never faltered. I absolutely admire the incredible way Her Majesty is so modern and how flexible and how understanding and how forgiving and how generous,” the mother of two said.

“I think to myself that, honestly, my mother-in-law has been more of a mother to me than my mother,” she continued.

“I absolutely think there is no greater mentor because, from a little girl to now, the consistency of Her Majesty has been a great honor, it’s a huge honor. It makes me want to cry,” Ferguson added.

While the late leader of England admired her ex-daughter-in-law, Ferguson’s ties to Epstein would’ve disappointed her.

“Betrayal is a truly horrible characteristic,” royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams told Daily Mail.

“To betray the person to whom one owes loyalty and the institution into which she was welcomed is shameful, but Sarah Ferguson knows no shame,” the journalist said.

“Queen Elizabeth II — a monarch whose rule will go down as one of the finest in our history — was kind to her,” Fitzwilliams continued. “We now know that Ferguson’s groveling emails to the deceased pedophile Jeffrey Epstein are proof of her culpability and greed.”

“She was clearly beyond the pale and a disgrace to the royal family, though she lost her HRH when she divorced,” he added. “Yet the Queen had a soft spot for her, almost as though she was a mother figure trying to resurrect someone who was clearly utterly irresponsible.”
