Its got dangerous, the risks vs the the reward are getting ever more dangerous.
Plus winter in Eastern Europe is bloody cold. Theirs no way to survive exposed in those conditions for sustained period with little or no shelter.
Imagine if Frontex was involved instead of Polish border guards:
