It looks like most of Ireland is in for a sunny weekend, but the national forecaster is warning of some scattered showers, so don’t leave the raincoat at home just yet.
Temperatures will reach as high as 21 degrees today, while tomorrow will be slightly cooler at 18 degrees.
Early indications show that next week will also be off to a lovely, sunny start.

Today, Saturday, April 25th
Some cloud and scattered showers in Connacht, Leinster and Ulster this morning. These will gradually clear away to the northeast, and for the rest of the day, there will be dry weather with spells of sunshine. Highest temperatures of 15 to 21 degrees, warmest in the east, with light and variable winds.
A mix of cloud and clear spells tonight, with isolated showers possible. Lowest temperatures of 4 to 9 degrees with light and variable winds.
Sunday, April 26th
A chance of a few showers tomorrow, but overall it will be a dry day with a mix of cloud and sunshine. Highest temperatures of 14 to 18 degrees with light west to northwest or variable winds.
A mild and calm night overall with a scattering of cloud and mostly light winds. Just the odd isolated shower possible over northern counties, but most areas will remain dry. Lowest temperatures of 5 to 9 degrees.
Monday, April 27th
A mix of cloud and just limited clear spells, then in the morning. Winds will generally stay light, and a few sunny spells will develop later in the afternoon, with the odd shower possibly over the northern counties. Highs of 14 to 18 degrees.
Generally dry overnight with a scattering of cloud, but clearer spells will develop later in the night. Lowest temperatures of 5 to 8 degrees in light winds.
Tuesday, April 28th
A largely fine and dry day with sunny spells and just scattered cloud. Winds will be more easterly but generally light. Slight chance of the odd shower across Leinster, but most areas staying dry through the day. Highest temperatures of 13 to 18 degrees.
Wednesday, April 29th
Current indications suggest that high-pressure conditions will remain largely fine and dry with light to moderate winds and highs of 13 to 17 degrees.
