Is this border inaccurately drawn by Google, or a part of Finnish field actually in the Russian area? (60.56666428986765, 27.841525428458954)

  1. Not planning to pretend I know anything but the borders drawn by google are not always 100% accurate. Land markers are the king in this prticular case and I am nearly certain Russia is behind the river here.

  2. Just a reminder: Google maps does not determine boarders… the boarder is obviously that line in the forest that followsthrough and past the farm

  3. Borders that are defined by natural features like rivers (which I assume is the case here) can be pretty inaccurate in these kinds of datasets. If the border was actually in the field, it would be marked by border posts which would probably show in the photo.

  4. Google Maps is often inaccurate. It seems that it only knows straight borders, and especially in rather remote areas there often isn’t a very high resolution.

  5. Yes, we are slowly, but surely taking the Karelia back by inching the border back to its place. /s

  6. Once they’re done with Ukraine expect the Russians to start a special operation here. You can clearly see some nazis in that field.

  7. Yeah, don’t trust google on maps… Nicaragua accidentally invaded Costa Rica few years back. Google had to come to peace negotiations to admit their fuck up

  8. Pretty sure it’s inaccurate. Borders usually follow landmarks and rivers usually mark border. It would be weird if border crossed over the river just for that little piece of land.
