Leaders agreed to synchronize work on a new Dniester crossing, promising faster cargo links and a resilient alternative route between Odesa and Moldova.
Ukraine and Moldova agreed on developing transport cooperation, in particular discussing a plan to build a bridge crossing over the Dniester, which should strengthen logistics and border infrastructure.
Deputy Prime Minister for Recovery of Ukraine and Minister of Communities and Territorial Development Oleksiy Kuleba announced on his official page about the working visit of Moldova’s President Maia Sandu to Ukraine and participation in joint meetings with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and Prime Minister Yulia Sviridenko.

According to Kuleba, Ukraine aims to continue the realization of the bridge between Yampil and Cosăuți across the Dniester and to open a joint road border crossing on the Ukrainian side.
He stressed the need to create a reliable alternative route through Moldova due to the ongoing damage to transport infrastructure in the Odesa region.
According to the official, cooperation between the two countries should strengthen interaction in the sectors of infrastructure and logistics; the Ukrainian government has allocated over 700 million hryvnias to ensure an alternative connection between Odesa and Moldova.
Kuleba also reported that joint Ukrainian-Moldovan teams continue the test route of the Kyiv–Kishinev train to the Revaki station with a shuttle to Chisinau Airport. Cooperation in maritime and inland water transport is also developing.
He expressed gratitude to Moldova for supporting Ukraine within the Danube Commission framework and for participating in the implementation of joint decisions on European integration and for participating in the filling of the Loss Register in the Lower Danube region.
In conclusion, both countries are strengthening cooperation in security, infrastructure and energy, and continue moving toward deeper European integration.
