I mean bmi is stupid because it doesnt take into account your body fat to muscle mass ratio. So anyone who does sport where muscle mass is important has higher or same bmi as a fat person…
Side note: min and max are just 19% apart. Even in Italy, nearly half the population (46%) is overweight. I’d like to see a chart reflect that sometime…
Pizza keeps italians healthy, FACTS.
Now I’m going to eat some and stay healthy, see ya
Good thing Brexit happened. Otherwise the UK would be smashing.
Good cuisine, healthy eating ! 🇮🇹🇨🇵
It’s like the EU countries closest to Russia are all stress eating.
Knedlo vepřo zelo vibez and pivko
What is the pct in the US. Want to see it with US states too
How much is this dependent on different age demographics?
Burek – ćevapi – kulen – pivo – pasta – pizza o/
This is depressing. Mandatory BF >15% for male and >23% for female tax when?
Yo you guys workout some more, this is wayyy to high
Lies.
**Croatians keeping it real** (and expensive for tourists).
Oookay, I think I’m gonna go for a run today.
Regarding Germany it is interesting because I was in Munich a few weeks ago and I felt like everyone was fairly fit, the women were rather skinny, more so than in France. Purely anectodical of course but that’s how I felt. Could there be a huge divide in eating habits between Bavaria and the rest of Germany?
They make it look as if 54% & 58% are worlds apart with a color theme.
Wow, I didn’t expect EU to be 53% overweight, insane (I know BMI isn’t perfect).
I’m very much an outlier since I find controlling my weight pretty easy mostly, although since I’ve started cycling it’s a bit harder to gain weight.
Move more, fatties!
Portugal can into Eastern Europe
Since when is Turkey (Türkiye) member of the EU?
Part of Europe, yes, but **not** in the EU!
Ah yes, Czechia->Slovakia->Hungary->Croatia (north)
Or what I would like to call “the lard belt”.
When did Turkey and Serbia join the EU? And when did Finland become one of the fattest countries in Europe?

UK dropped to lower the EU average.
BMI is a pretty silly stat.
Most fit men that you’d find in the gym are at or above 25 BMI.
Turkey is not europe

Haha Latvia fat
BMI … I got 26 and six-pack (almost in good lighting if I flex!) So misleading often
Italy and france have the best food/diet and it shows
It’s amazing ( and worrying ) that even the ‘healthy’ countries have a population where 1 in 2 people are overweight
We eat healthy and diverse, but in excessive amounts.
So, lots of vegetables, fruits and fish, but also lots of meat, fat and alcohol.
And when you also add low interest in regular recreational sport, you get this.
Wouldn’t it be more accurate to show average bmi per country instead of % over 25bmi.
Eastern flank of Europe is well defended
This is a graph of 2019, I feel like the percentages should be higher at this point due to all the lockdowns during the pandemic.
Croatia only 65?? Those are rookie numbers, gotta pump them up
Damn you, skinny Italians.
Last year i was ‘overweight’, weighting 78kg on 5’10
So give or take a few percent, around half of the adults in each country is overweight. The percentages are still pretty close when compared between all countries.
Still high though. Anyone know the trend? Is it increasing?

“When you have best cuisines in your country”
