The districts of Vila Real, Viana do Castelo and Braga are under a yellow warning today due to the forecast of sometimes heavy showers in mountainous areas, which may include hail and thunderstorms, according to IPMA.

The yellow warning will be in effect between 12 pm and 6 pm on 27 April, according to the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and the Atmosphere (IPMA).

The IPMA also forecasts showers and thunderstorms in the North and Centre of Portugal, especially in mountainous areas, and during the afternoon. Generally light winds, predominantly from the east, sometimes moderate in the highlands of the Centre and South, and a slight rise in maximum temperature.
