Tory MP claims BBC tried to make Boris Johnson ‘look like Hannibal Lecter’ in rant against media | ‘Does that guy look like someone who has been given a birthday cake or someone who has been locked up for something at the Old Bailey?’

  1. Has any other government complained so much and so often about people not respecting them and treating them nicely as this one? What a bunch of moaners, they never stop bitching.

  2. Has this fella seen the Hannibal films? It takes more than just a black and white image and an open mouth to capture the likes of Hannibal. In fact, Hannibal’s most famous depictions are him with a mask on, no open mouth and all in full colour.

  3. He’s lost it a few times at PMQ’s and we see a very different person to good old bumbling Boris. Lashing out without much thought for the consequences. Like smearing Starmer about Saville.

The sooner he goes the better.

  4. It would be more believable if the same Tory MP were to point out how much the BBC smeared Corbyn. The Tories allowed the BBC to start smearing politicians as a regular thing and now it is normalised. They only have themselves to blame.

  5. The best part of the interview was the naked contempt he showed for his constituents daring to question Boris.

I think you might be in the wrong job, bro.

  6. Its absolute insanity that Tories and the right wing of the public actually think the media is anywhere near the left or “woke” or whatever buzzword they try to fire out.

If you’re wearing anything other than a blue rosette its ludicrously obvious that almost every single (billionaire-run) media outlet in the UK makes you wade through a Takeshis Castle of shit while patting the Tory on the back.

Its just a ridiculous thing for the right to try to spin.

  7. If Johnson wants a better public image then he should try doing good instead of being immoral and unethical at every opportunity. The BBC are not portraying him as Hannibal Lecter, they are portraying him as a PM facing a challenge from his own party after a series of public scandals that have even turned the public against him. If Johnson does not like how he looks then he is the only one with the power to change that.

  8. Wait, is this the same BBC that edited out the boo’s and commentary on the clip of De’Piffle entering the abbey during the jubilee?

  9. He looks like a guy that SHOULD have been locked up at the old bailey but given a birthday cake instead.

  10. Conservatives often have this thing where they are outraged when they are held to the same standards as others.
