If there was no Centra, you’d have nowhere to get your picnic supplies to take to the cliffs.
Tough but fair
That centra is in raphoe in Donegal.
Other countries don’t have petrol stations??
The chicken fillet roll makes up for it
You mean perfect?
So much better than those ugly cliff yokes
Holy fuck Raphoe is on Reddit
Sure, you can only look at a cliff. You’ll never what you’ll come out with from Centra.
Yeah but you can’t get a lucozade and chicken fillet roll or breakfast roll at the Cliffs. Checkmate.
(Ive no doubt theres a Centra about 5 feet from the cliffs, but you cant get the aforementioned items AT the Cliffs, so my point stands)
People in Ireland don’t actually tour the country to find the beautiful areas, they just hang out wherever they are at.
Genuinely I’d have swapped it around a bit. The scenic pic is how it seems people expect much of Ireland to be, but the little urban vibe is the reality that I’ve always seen described by irish people.
Well, that is the way we live today.
definitely more filling stations than cliffs of moher.
No petrol stations where you are from OP?
I was stunned by the car dependence when I visited Ireland. The people are wonderful and the natural landscapes are beautiful, but the overwhelming impression left by my visit was of motorways, car parks and service stations. Cars cars cars wherever you look. There’s so much potential though given the landscapes you have, Ireland could be a paradise.
Fun fact: there is a bigger Centra opposite it.
Is that the centra on the way back from dublin does the best chicken fillet roll? Irelands hidden gem indeed
I’m so guilty of this. Tell my non Irish gf all the time about the wonders of Ireland and show her pics of The Rock of Cashel. But if she ever comes to Ireland, she’ll be getting a tour of the local Spar.
japan has far better scenery than Ireland
To be fair, you can say that about quite literally everywhere on the planet other than maybe Antarctica. There’s always a convenience store, a petrol station or something bit utilitarian modernity, unless you’re in some kind of absolutely remote place or preserved wilderness.
If you never walk the 5 minutes to leave a town then sure. Anyone with any sense knows you arent going to find beautiful nature vistas staring at a centre.
That Centra should actually be on ‘Places to visit in Ireland’ at this point…. Tis a lovely Centra tho
Why not both?
True, at least for the midlands anyway 🤣
True e every Irish town looks more or less like this haha. Usually the tallest thing is the local church.
Can you get a spicy chicken roll from the cliffs? That’s what I thought.
That’s the centra in the diamond in Raphoe in Donegal.
Never seen a slate roof on something like that before.
Ireland is beautiful… If you have money and don’t live here.
False, can see blue sky.
Wasn’t expecting raphoe to be in a meme but here we are
