What the fuck is someone from Ballybane doing lighting gorse fires in Cashel, a good 90 mins drive away?
Hang on, judge said a 5grand fine would be too lenient, so fined him €750 instead – somebody tell me I read that wrong!
The driving ban will likely be overturned when he says he has to get daily medication to his diabetic donkey or somesuch…
Is this the same practice as burning heather in Scotland?
Started to get banned here as the weather is getting dryer and it can sometimes ignite the peat. Bloody weird seeing wild fire warnings in Scotland.
Wait what? Do the road traffic acts have a provision where a driver can be banned in connection with the use of a vehicle for another offence…what the fuck? This really makes no sense.
Banned from driving?
I know other people disagree wit what the disqualification of driving, but from my understanding, the judge is saying that he doesn’t that a fine is much of a punishment nor does he feel a 6 or 8 months sentence will act like a deterrent. so has opted for a 2 year driving ban.
I think his dead right and I would be in support of the courts finding ways to inconvenience people who commit crimes, that would actually act as a deterrence.
