If he cannot be forced out then he knows he is effectively free until the next election. He has just proved that he can guide the UK into a terrible Brexit deal, fail to properly manage a pandemic, fail to tackle a cost of living crisis and then lie to the country repeatedly about attending a series of parties when the rules he set explicitly made it a criminal offence. If that is not enough for his own party to ditch him, what will be? Unless he punches the Queen, he will rest comfortably knowing that he is safe for now.
