UPDATE ON CAR—— it was found smashed to pieces in finglas …. Absolutely heartbroken only had it a month worked my ass off and some little scumbags come and steal it 💔

  5. Devastated for you. I bought a Toyota aqua a couple of months ago and have seen it mentioned a few times since on Reddit that these cars are targeted so I’m terrified the same will happen to me some day.

    When I lived in East Wall, I constantly saw and heard cars being driven around at high speeds – Anto and Decko just bored and out for a spin in a “borrowed” car.

I worked in this guy’s house about 3 years ago, him and his wife saved for 5 years to buy this cool old school American camper van, he took it home parked it up and was robbed that night and burnt out, he had his house up for sale due to that reason while I was working there, he was in a nice park good solid middle class housing estate but over the road was where all the scum lived and that’s where it was found burnt out.

    Hope your insurance covers it and it all works out for you in the end, it wasn’t your fault so try not beat yourself up over this, it could have happened to anyone

  15. There needs to be EU law on Japanese imports that immobilisers need to be fitted if they’re coming over here without them already installed.

    Absolutley awful for you and hope the scumbags get caught and locked up but these cars are so feckin easy to be robbed something needs to be done.

I believe the Toyota and Honda cars that are been imported lately can be stolen as easy as cars from the late 80’s and early 90’s, once someone gets into them supposedly they can be started with a spoon, screw driver or any old key and some don’t even have an immobilizer , even if they do it’s just a matter removing the fuse for it, people should do proper research before buying, the car dealerships most likely now all this but there hardly gonna be honest and up front, anyone with one get a big old lock and chain rap it trough the seat frame and then the steering wheel best option by far

  26. DO NOT buy a jap import automatic. They can steal them in less than 30 seconds. In fact the little rats are out actively looking for those type of cars. The major news outlets need a public information campaign to stop people buying these cars. Guaranteed to get stolen and spreading to other parts of the country too.
