I’ve been looking into doing a J1 for next summer and came across this company and was wondering if anyone has used them or any experience with them or are they just a scam as it seems a bit too good to be true? Cheers.

  1. I promise you, your room will look nothing like that. Notice in the gallery it’s all pics of people out doing things instead of the accommodation?

  2. Only contact is a mobile phone number and email. No physical address or “land line” number to ring in “Contact Us”.

    Screams of scam.

  4. I used them for my J1 about 4 years ago in Chicago. It’s grand enough, the lads running it use the whole thing as an excuse to fuck about in America all summer haha. Nothing wrong with that, but I’d be sure to keep on top of messaging them regularly if there’s any issues. They tend to take things very laid back

    There was an issue where halfway through the summer we had to get downgraded from self serving accommodation, to halls on the same campus. The lads running the show gave us probably 2 weeks notice, and ofc the whole thing was “out of their control”.

    All in all though, it was cheap and safe as we were on the IIT campus, so didn’t have to worry about security or bills. Towards the end they forgot to remind people to pay the rent so I ended up getting a month’s free rent lol.

    I’d recommend them for the fact the accommodation is the next biggest headache with the J1 after getting the job + visa. And they do make it fairly straightforward, even if there is a bit of arm chancing from the organisers lol
