As someone who had to deal with Essex police recently, they are the absolute last people you should be calling for help with just about anything.
I’m sure there was a post here recently slating the police for not answering 999 calls quickly enough. Here’s why.
OK… work with me on this…. Maybe what we are seeing is the very real and serious need for a *333* number to call, our own mental health supporting *I Just Got to Bitch to Someone NOW!* line? Just somewhere to someone who will listen to our frustrations, maybe not for answers but an empathetic or just sympathetic ear?
333… for the BitchNowPlease!!!
I had someone call me to ask for the time and date.
Not police, but ambulance service.
Some people are just something else.
If only there was a group in Essex that could investigate crimes like this and pass their findings to the cps…
I see no reason why people who do this shouldn’t be fined immediately.
Can’t they be fined?
Here is me, hesitated calling the emergency even though I thought I had a broken foot, but still could limp to the hospital (ended up taking a taxi).
>another called to ask if he had left his bank card in a police car the previous evening
Well when the police don’t answer the none emergency line and they remove the numbers to the local police stations, well of course they’re going to get these kind of calls.
I’m not buying that. Either they’re bullshitting about their crap service or, if they’re telling the truth, that area is seriously lacking in education and mental health support.
