With spring now well and truly here, there’s little that beats drying laundry outdoors, and Iceland has reduced the price of popular products from major brands such as Persil, Comfort and Lenor ahead of the Bank Holiday weekend. One standout offer is Persil’s Bio Laundry Washing Liquid Detergent 648ml, which ordinarily retails for £8 but has now been slashed to £3.75 in an online-exclusive deal.

This equates to just 16p per wash. A firm favourite in many households, the product has garnered glowing reviews on Iceland’s website, with one customer noting it ‘works well first time for stains.’ Another said: “Persil 24W Bio gives you splendid results time after time. Whites are really white. Nothing would make me change to another laundry product.”

Another highly sought-after bargain is Ariel’s Washing Gel 26 Washes Original, now reduced to £5 from £11. One five-star review of the gel reads: “Brilliant product, deep clean even on cool temperatures, fresh smelling fragrance. Would highly recommend.”

Comfort fans can also snap up a bargain, as the retailer is offering the brand’s Perfume Creations Fabric Conditioner Honeysuckle and Sandalwood 48 washes (1.44 L) for £2.75, down from its usual £6 price tag.

One shopper waxed lyrical about the fragrance of the discounted fabric conditioner, writing: “The smell is gorgeous and powerful. Love holding this to my nose, wearing it makes me feel great.”

The supermarket’s deals don’t stop there, as Iceland is also offering new customers £9 off £60 using the code ICE9OFF60 at the checkout. It’s worth noting that this offer is exclusively available online — full T&Cs can be found on the Iceland website, reports the Mirror.

Alongside the laundry deals, Iceland has also reduced food prices, including 15 for £15 on Easy Teas, six for £10 on Picky Bits and three for £10 on Slimming World and MyProtein. All offers are available on their website, with free delivery on orders over £40.

Elsewhere, Amazon is stocking the Ecover Delicate Laundry Detergent Laundry Washing Liquid For Wool and Silk 16 Washes in a waterlily and honeydew scent for £3.85, reduced from £4.95. Suitable for delicates, sensitive skin and sports clothing, it’s claimed to be effective even in cold water.

Meanwhile, Tallow + Ash’s Oud Laundry Duo is priced at £12.99. This boasts the ‘luxury’ fragrance of cardamom, neroli and violet on a sandalwood and patchouli base.

There are a wealth of household bargains to be snapped up at Iceland as part of the Bank Holiday Savings Event, including discounts on Dettol, Febreze, and Fairy. One of the most notable deals is on Persil’s Bio Laundry Washing Liquid Detergent 648ml (24 washes), currently priced at £3.75, making it a prime opportunity to stock up.

The same bottle is presently available on Ocado for £5, and on Amazon for £7.94. One Iceland shopper said of the product: “Smells delicious and it lingers, would recommend.” Meanwhile, another said: “Persil 24W Bio gives you splendid results time after time.” They continued: “Whites are really white. Nothing would make me change to another laundry product.”

A third found it worked well on their skin too, commenting: “Gets my clothes clean and its great on my skin with me suffering with a skin condition.” Others praised the scent, with a further review reading: “Love this product, leaves my clothes smelling fresh – I have noticed such a difference since using.”

Various colored garments are hanging, including white, green, pink, and blue, with the person holding a piece of fabric in their hand, presumably to attach it to the line. The backdrop features lush greenery and a clear blue sky.

Despite this, one reviewer felt it was tricky to tell how much product they were using, saying: “Smells lovely and washes well, but it comes without a measuring cup, so you’re probably not getting 24 washes from a bottle.” However, another simply remarked: “Always gets whites clean.”

Someone else was also impressed with its ability to remove stains, commenting: “Works well first time for stains! Fresh smell.”
