That’s lightening fast downvoting. Couldn’t be anymore than 5 seconds. Fair play.
Would it be better or worse if she was a real nun?
Didn’t pass the nun exam.
Glad to see this lunatic up in court. I’ve said it to my wife the few times we have seen footage that there is no way what she was doing (mostly harassing people) was legal.
This woman needs serious help.
Not being funny, but is it against the law to say homophobic slurs/anything derogatory? The follow-up question is obviously should it be?
Years ago we had proper character’s on O’Connell, the dancing lady Mary Smith and the auld one with the cross hitting the priests…. none of this fake nonsense
She’s nun the wiser
Authorties say the fake nun can be recognised by her high top sneakers and incredibly foul mouth.
Mad as a bag of spiders
and in the most blessed of months
Wait a minute, these are FAKE Nuns!
Sounds exactly like Mass used to be, of a Sunday.
Is that the mad one up in Dublin?
Edit: ah is the one in Dublin but is from Belfast. Mad stuff.
Oh course a real nun would never be homophobic
Does it not seem a bit much that this woman – with serious mental health issues – has her full name, age, photo and *home address* published by a newspaper??
By definition, all nuns are fake. How could they be otherwise?
Does that make her a “none”?
I’ve seen this one flailing about on the ground in Cornmarket.
I wonder is there a rise I this type of over the top street evangelism since lock down. There’s also that group that carry the big cross about. A few aggressive ones too.
I’m near certain I saw her marching about Belfast singing into a microphone a few months ago. And not the city centre either, she was in a residential area with the speakers blaring and all. Thought it was odd but that was it. The more I hear about here the weirder it gets.
I absolutely have to visit Ireland.
I think it is symptomatic of a healthy democracy and a free society for people to be able to say unpopular things in public.
In a letter to this newspaper, Mulcahy stated: “I’m in love. Head over heels. I can’t stop it. I love Jesus Christ so much. There is no one else I can think of. I adore him. I never want to be away from him.”
This is the same balloon who runs about Belfast dressed in brown starting on people, she walked passed me and I said hello sister, then she said you don’t called me sister and that was it she went into one, first class head the ball
What’s a “fake nun”? Is there some sort of government-endorsed license for nun authenticity? An Irish Nun Certification Office in Naas? Is there some special nunnery skill you need to display, an exam perhaps? As I understand it being a “nun” is pretty much like being a “Star Wars Fan”. Someone can just say “I’m a nun and I’m wearing my special nun uniform, watch me do nun stuff” and who’s to say otherwise? Okay, maybe not a Catholic Nun, because there’s an organization behind that, I’m sure they’ve got a trademark or something. But what’s with the editorializing “fake”? If she says she’s a nun, fine shazam: she’s a nun!
“The accused had an address in Belfast and had no business being on O’Connell Street, the garda said.” What BS is that? It’s a street where people go to hang out and drink and people watch and score heroin and pickpocket. Does she really need official business to be there? I’m all in favour of gay rights etc, but if she wants to go there and tell rainbow people God is angry with them for the way He made them, well okay that’s a strange hateful and self-contradictory opinion but as long as she’s not violent or disruptive she should be allowed to express it. Heck, she might even meet someone who can change her mind.

She’s been banned from bothering the monks too …

**edit:** Did a deep dive into [relevant documentaries]( https://www.grindhousedatabase.com/index.php/Nunsploitation ) and I’d highly recommend them.
[Have a look at this clip](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCq2uoGjE8gF1Cm0yw6FYtUQ) (recorded by an equally nutty street preacher) where she goes on and on about sex with women and her own past.
Something about her doesn’t seem quite right, not the crazy shit shes spewing, there’s something performative about it that makes me suspicious.
I need more info on how she’s a fake nun..
